How many hours are in a work year?
A common assumption is 37.5 hours a week for 52 weeks, which is 1,950 hours a year. Adjust the hours and weeks fields above if your working pattern is different.
Should I use 52 weeks or fewer if I take unpaid leave?
If you take unpaid leave or work part of the year, reduce the "weeks worked per year" figure so the annual salary estimate reflects what you'll actually earn, rather than a full 52-week year.
